How to Care for Your 3D Printed Toys

At RS3D, we create durable and affordable 3D printed toys—but like all toys, they’ll last longer with a little care!

Here’s how to keep your PLA and PETG toys looking great for years to come.

🧼 Cleaning Your 3D Printed Toys

  • Use Mild Soap and Water:
Hand-wash your toys with warm water and a gentle soap.

  • Avoid Harsh Chemicals:
No bleach or alcohol-based cleaners—they can damage the plastic.

  • Use a Soft Cloth or Brush:
For textured or detailed toys, a soft toothbrush works great to clean small crevices.

☀️ Storing Your Toys

  • Keep Out of Direct Sunlight:
PLA can soften if exposed to high heat for long periods (like inside a hot car).

  • Avoid Heavy Pressure:
While our toys are strong, don’t stack heavy items on top of them to prevent warping.

  • Store Indoors:
PETG is more weather-resistant, but both materials do best indoors.

🔧 Handling and Play Tips

  • While durable, these toys aren’t indestructible.

  • Rough bending or twisting beyond normal movement can cause breakage.

  • Younger kids should play under supervision (small parts warning for children under 3).
